Here's where the chronological aspect of things starts to get a bit sketchy. Most of these tracks on this set are presented in chronological order; however, here we come to a case where a song was started very early on (summer 2001), abandoned, and then completed in when we needed material for a release (thanks to the disappearance of one of our master tapes during shipment, resulting in the loss of two albums' worth of songs). Thus, we wind up with a track that sounds sonically nothing else like the rest of the material from 2002. After all of that, none of these tracks ever surfaced when we launched our first "real" website the following year. That said, "Madness" is an early glimpse into my later method of writing songs in sections and them making the pieces fit.
