...or was it? Actually, we chose the name "Frog and Beaver" (me being the frog, Raymond being the beaver). Seriously. Anyway, we'd recorded quite a few songs during the summer(some of which will be released on a collection of rareties sometime in the near future) but individually. As we would end up doing many years later, we at the time were taking the "Fleetwood Mac" approach, in which we would write songs on our own that fit what the other was doing. Then 9/11 happened. Now, what on Earth possessed us to do a humorous song with a vaguely Middle Eastern feel, set to a military-styled beat, is beyond me to this day. Kinda tacky in retrospect (especially since we did this a month later), but that was true of a lot of our humor. Yes, there was a time where we weren't quite so serious (some might say pretentious...ignore those people. I do. I kid, I kid...) and so we foisted this upon the world. The very first co-write Raymond and I did together, so one can say this is the first "true" Fear 2 Stop song even if we were 9 months way from that particular name being born.
Heh. I made a pregnancy joke. That was clever.
